On November 7th, Cornell University students joined forces with Howard Burnham Elementary 4th and 5th graders to get active! In the efforts of promoting physical activity, Cornell University’s leadership organization known as the Cornell Tradition Fellowship, hosted a "Just Dance" Zoom event. Cornell and Howard Burnham Elementary students engaged, laughed, and had fun for an entertaining hour of light exercise and service.
Leading the event was Da Vinci alumnus and Cornell Sophomore in the School of Architecture Honors Program, Sebastian Contreras. Sebastian is a member of the esteemed Cornell Tradition Fellowship Organization, and last year was selected to serve on the group’s Student Advisory Committee, which is the student leadership board of the program. The event was a collaboration between Cornell University and Burnham Wood Schools to promote not only health and fitness, but to begin the conversation about college and the prospect of pursuing an Ivy League education!
