Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders

Understanding the critical nature of growing healthy, ethically responsible young people, the Burnham Wood Charter schools make it a priority to develop the leadership skills in all students and staff. District Superintendent Dr. G., has implemented a leadership plan that includes empowering students, staff and administration through support, guidance, training and instruction. This follows the district’s belief that all in the Burnham Wood family will have access to resources to participate in leadership development towards the betterment of all involved.

Students are encouraged to participate in leadership opportunities including:

  • Superintendent’s Leadership Academy
  • Superintendent’s Junior Leadership Academy
  • Superintendent’s Hispanic Leadership Forum
  • Superintendent’s Student Ambassadors
  • Student Coach Development
  • Campus Student Council
Staff are encouraged to participate in leadership opportunities including:
  • Superintendent Future Leaders Sessions
  • Superintendent Coach Development Sessions
  • Superintendent Cabinet Debriefings
