Teachers of the highest quality are recruited throughout the year at esteemed university programs and job fairs. The district sees little turnover with their staff assuring students and families consistency throughout their time with our programs, Pre-K3 through 12th grade.

Burnham Wood Charter School teachers set high expectations for all students. They expect that all students can and will achieve in their classroom. Towards assuring that their students will be successful, teachers are prepared and organized, staying updated on the most effective strategies toward student success.

Teachers are masters of their subject matter, exhibiting expertise in the subjects they are teaching and spend time continuing to gain new knowledge in their field. Our teachers present subject material in an enthusiastic delivery and instill a passion in their students to learn more on their own.

District teachers and Coaches form strong relationships with their students and show that they care about them as people. These strong relationships are a result of their being accessible, enthusiastic and caring. They consistently are involved in school-wide committees and activities and demonstrate a true commitment to the program.
