Summer Programs at Da Vinci

The Burnham Wood Family of Charter Schools provides a variety of programs over the summer to ensure your child’s academic success.

The following summer school programs are for students who need additional help with the STAAR. (More information about the STAAR)

  • Math, grades 6-8: Students will learn math concepts necessary to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
  • Reading, grades 6-8: Students will learn reading concepts necessary to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Mondays and Tuesdays Only, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
  • Writing, grades 6-7: Students will learn writing concepts necessary to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Wednesdays and Thursdays Only, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.

The following summer school programs are for students who need additional help with specific STAAR end-of-course exams.

  • Algebra I: Students will learn the necessary Algebra I concepts to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
  • English I: Students will learn the necessary English I concepts to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
  • English II: Students will learn the necessary English II concepts to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
  • Biology: Students will learn the necessary Biology concepts to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
  • U.S. History: Students will learn the necessary U.S. History concepts to be successful in school and the state assessment. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.

The following summer school program is open to current 6th-11th graders:

  • Sports Activities: Students will receive learn teamwork and how to play volleyball and basketball. June 8-23, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-12 P.M.
