About Vanessa Ruiz

Ms. Ruiz comes to Da Vinci School for Science and the Arts with a background in administration and teaching. Prior to joining Da Vinci, she spent the last three years as a Middle and High School Principal at Immanuel Christian School. She has worked in private and public schooling as an educator and administrator for the past 15 years. She has enjoyed working each day with students whose goals and hopes inspire her.

She currently is working on her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at the University of Texas at El Paso. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Ms. Ruiz was born and raised in Los Angeles, California before moving to El Paso, Texas. Outside of her school time, Ms. Ruiz is a devoted mom to her daughter Alexis Jovhanna and her son James Andre. She loves reading, watching different sports, and any type of dessert.

Ms. Ruiz is humbled and elated to serve in a capacity that will allow her to focus on providing an abundance of opportunities in a unique, T-STEM, science and fine arts school whose learning-focused environment is now crafted to meet the needs of students, teachers, parents, and the community.
